How good are your research skills?

The 2017 HealthWatch student prize competition for critical appraisal of clinical research protocols is now open.

The aim of this competition is to test your research skills by asking you to evaluate four hypothetical research protocols and rank them in order of quality.

Entries are invited from two groups of students:

  • Medical and dental students
  • Students of nursing, midwifery and professions allied to medicine

In each group there is a first prize of £500 and up to 5 runner-up prizes of £100.

Click here for further information, to download the protocols and for the online entry form.

Your entry must be submitted before midnight on 30 June 2017. Entries received after that date will not be considered.

Prize winners will be invited to receive their awards at the HealthWatch Annual General Meeting in London in October.

We are grateful to Cambridge University Press for sponsorship of the competition.
